First Lady Santo Plater
First Lady Plater is a Godly woman and devoted wife to her (jewel), Rev. Jesse W. Plater, Pastor of Alexander Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren.
First Lady Plater was born and raised in Calvert County, Maryland. She is the youngest of eight siblings and lived in Calvert throughout her young adult life.
She received her education in the public school system in Calvert County, Maryland and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Columbia Southern University in Orange Beach, Alabama. She is currently employed as a Contracting Officer with the National Archives, where she has worked for the past 30 years.
First lady Plater received Christ as her personal Savior in December 1989 at the Galilee Baptist Church. During her tenure at Galilee, she was ordained as a Deaconess, appointed as Chairperson of the Good Samarian Ministry, which assisted members who were experiencing financial difficulties. She served on the Hospitality, Women’s, Vacation Bible School, and Stars Ministries.
She is very interested in the development and spiritual growth of women and serves as Director of the Women’s Ministry at Alexander Memorial Baptist Church. She takes pleasure in organizing retreats, conferences and workshops that deal with issues relating to women and their families.
